LIP FILLERS

  What are Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers are a natural hyaluronic acid substance used for injection into the Dermis (the living tissue just below the surface of the skin). The results with this procedure are instant. They are frequently used in conjunction with wrinkle reducing treatment as part of a holistic anti wrinkle solution.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Lip Fillers work?

During the ageing process, your skin loses elasticity and volume. Lip fillers replace the volume, attract water and promote natural renewal of collagen around the injected areas.

How long do Lip Fillers last?

Lip fillers will typically last between 6-12 months depending upon the individual patient. With repeat treatments, the effect will generally last longer.

Will Lip Fillers be painful?

There can be some discomfort with this procedure; however, we make every effort to ensure that it will be as painless as possible. Our products contain a local anaesthetic that helps to reduce pain. In addition, we also apply a local anaesthetic cream at least 30 minutes prior to treatment.

What can I expect after lip treatment?

The initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer than other treatments. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips can look somewhat uneven during this time. This means that the result directly after treatment should not be seen as the final result.

Please tell the doctor if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores as the treatment may contribute to a further eruption. Your practitioner will be able to advise you on steps to take should this occur.

What are the risks of Lip Fillers?

The risks are very minimal with this procedure. The patient will experience slight redness, swelling and tenderness for up to 48 hours after the procedure. There is also a risk of minor bruising.
